How it works

Open the group
The team, the crew, the flat or the office. You start with a list of joke fines and change it however you like. Send the link to anyone who wants to follow along on their phone.

Issue the fine
Pick the person and the fine, in two taps. You can fine several people at once and add a note. Anyone without the app counts too: just enter them by name.

Mark what is paid
Everyone sees what they owe. The treasurer marks what gets paid, in full or in part, in cash, with PayPal or whatever the group uses. The pot grows by itself.

Frequently asked questions
Does Olutax collect the fines?
No. The money does not go through the app. It is paid in cash, with PayPal or however your group does it. Olutax only keeps the books: who owes what, what has been paid and how much is in the pot.
Does everyone need the app?
No. Anyone without it appears in the group by name and can be fined just the same. If they want to see their debt, they install the app, join with the group link or code and pick who they are.
Who marks what is paid?
The treasurer: whoever creates the group or the person they delegate to. They can mark a payment in full or in part and void a fine that was issued by mistake.
Who sees the fines?
The members of the group, and nobody else. Share the link only with your people: with the code, anyone can join.
Is it free?
Yes, with ads and up to two groups. With Plus you get unlimited groups and no advertising.
What if a fine rubs someone the wrong way?
The templates are jokes and can be changed. If something goes too far, the treasurer voids it and you can report it from the app or write to us at hello@opharana.com.
